This type of Ajwa dates is distinguished by being from the historic Al-Dabtah farm located in the upper part of Medina. It is distinguished by its moderate sweet taste. Noble prophetic hadiths have been reported about Ajwa Al-Aliyah, as it is beneficial in protecting against poison and magic:
- Muslim (2048) narrated on the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “In the ‘Ajwa dates of the ‘Aliyah tribe there is a cure - or it is an antidote - at the beginning of the morning.”
- Narrated by Ahmad (25187) and its wording is: “In the dates of the high ‘Aliyah there is a cure - or an antidote - first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.”
- In another version of his (24735): “In the dates of the high-grade dates, first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach, is a cure for every kind of magic or poison.” Al-Albani authenticated it in “Sahih al-Jami’” (4262).
- Al-Bukhari (5445) and Muslim (2047) narrated on the authority of Sa`d ibn Abi Waqqas, may God be pleased with him, who said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “Whoever eats seven ajwa dates in the morning will not be harmed that day by poison or magic.”
- On the authority of Abu Hurairah, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Ajwa dates are from Paradise and in them is a cure for poison, and truffles are from manna and their water is a cure for the eyes.”
